Urban Heat Island
This is part of the research being done at ASU on the Urban Heat Island. The data above shows Phoenix-Casa Grande Annual Average Minimum Temperatures 1960 to present. Data from the Western Regional Climate Center. Note the large increase in Phoenix temperatures compared to the National monument site of Casa Grande.Interesting juxtapostion to talk about the urban heat island when we have near freezing night time temperatures in the Phoenix area. Snow, Hail, & Graupel?
Hi All!!!!
What a busy past couple of weeks it has been with all the rain in the valley and snow in the high country! The past cold storm left us even some small hail and what appeared to be graupel. Thanks for keeping the positive thoughts going for more moisture.
